Emily is stuck in Sydney for an unexpected weekend with her lecherous boss Carlton. She's the accountant working on the massively important acquisition of a major hotel and needs her wits about her, in order to represent their client. Returning to her hotel room at the end of a stressful day, she's wiped out and longs for some relaxation. I loved this book. Lillian Grant has an easy style of writing that draws the characters beautifully. And who wouldn't enjoy a gorgeous guy like Randy delivering room service with a smile. It's a sexy, quick read and ideal for a sunny afternoon - or a rainy one, while dreaming of the sunshine. 5/5

happen in a weekend? In Ms. Grant's story, the answer is a firm, yes. Of course love is never without it's pitfalls. I can recommend this book without hesitation. It's a great read!
My wife had read Lillian's book prior to the manuscript's submission to a publisher as a favor to Ms. Grant, even though my wife tends to shred stories and use them for kitty litter. From that time forward all I heard was "When will it be published?". My wife isn't a reviewer or writer, she simply enjoys romantic tales. This one captured her interest and imagination from the very beginning. She didn't speak (other than to fill me in... constantly... on what was happening in the story) or move from her chair until she finished the book.
My wife is a tough sell when it comes to books, but she now rates "Mergers and Acquisitions" as one of the best she's ever read, and she reads a lot.
So, there it is, my wife's honest opinion.
